It's hard to believe it's October already, and the Orchid Festival was our largest Fundraiser last year, not to mention all the fun we had meeting everybody, and utilizing the funds we received for purchasing Food to be donated to Families in need. The summer has been hard on our budget and food supplies.

We know that times are really hard for so many of you right now, but we need your support more than ever as our numbers of applications are rising at an alarming rate. According to recent statistics, the "High Desert Communities" are experiencing a 10% unemployment rate. People are struggling everywhere throughout the nation, and sometimes trying to help seems overwhelming, but if everybody helps and pulls together locally, it will make a BIG difference. We are helping so many people get back on their feet, with Food, Clothing, Appliances, etc., all at no charge. We are supported through Individuals, Businesses, Fundraisers, and Grants (non governmental). So please do what you can and together we can make a difference in so many of our neighbors lives. No donation is to small or to large. Even if you can just bring in one can of food, never feel it won't make a difference. We hope to see you at the Orchid Festival.
