Help Us Today!

More people than ever before, are turning to Pantries for help.  We have to keep the river flowing.  18% of the American population is struggling to keep food on the table.

American Food Bank has been fortunate to be a part of the lives of so many wonderful people.  Here are some of their stories:

Mary, Jenny, Tyler, and Randy Jones
--------------------------------------------------
"When I lost my job, I had no idea how I was going to take care of my family.  As a single mother of three, I was desperate.  American Food Bank helped us get on our feet again.  They were understanding and very compassionate.  They didn't merely give me money and food, they gave me something far more important.  They gave me a chance to help myself.  They assisted me through job interviews, made sure that my children were well fed, and gave me the skills I needed to get back on my feet.  I am now employed and volunteer for American Food Bank on the weekends.  I love helping families in need.  It feels good to be able to give back to the community after they have done so much to help my family."

Bob and Jane Smith
--------------------------------------------------
"We feel so fortunate to live in the Morongo Basin.  The community, guided by the food bank, helped us find credible builders to rebuild our home after it was destroyed by a natural disaster.  We were given shelter and lots of moral support.  We were moved to tears when all of the wonderful construction workers showed up to rebuild our home.  We will definitely be forever grateful to the American Food Bank.  We are now dedicated volunteers."

The Miller Family
-------------------------------------------------
Due to an unexpected illness in our family, we incurred debilitating medical expenses, and found it difficult to cook meals, and were in jeopardy of losing our home.  The American Food Bank stepped up and helped us through a very difficult time.  They brought us food and emotional support everyday.  We are now healthy and looking forward to a bright future.  Thanks to the American Food Bank and the communities that support them.
